To my friends, old and new: welcome!

Every Friday, I round up good finds on the internet and share them here, so you can stay updated with what’s happening.

Quick note

This was supposed to go out on Friday, but I got food poisoning and it wiped me out all day. Recovered now.

Thanks for being patient!

I also spent the week in NYC. It was a breath of fresh air! I’ll share more about the trip later, but MAN I missed that New York energy. Can’t replicate it anywhere else.

ON THE GO

WHAT I DIG

This Week in NYC

I’m convinced that if New York had its own Saville Row, it would be located in Greenwich Village. Sure, it’s got nowhere near the legacy that London has, but all the optimism and energy of new school men’s clothiers preserving the legacy of tailored clothing, and that’s something to be excited about.

I originally planned to visit the good folks at J.Mueser on Christopher Street. You can see their showroom on the second floor, just above the French café, Boucherie. Then I realized F.E. Castleberry’s atelier was right above them, so I had to pay him a visit.

THEN I looked across the street and saw my old friend, Angel Ramos, from 18th Amendment, had moved his showroom next door.

It suddenly dawned on me that there’s this beautiful, budding community of brands and tailors taking over Greenwich Village.

These are the folks making it through a pandemic when business isn’t hot. Maybe I’ll write more about this topic in the coming week.

For now, enjoy some of these shots I snapped:
